1- Publish by email!
Easily update your site using email, the secure way.
How ? Very simple:
Log on the administrative site with your ID and password, then browse to heading « Control Panel ».
First security level: in section « Email », type in a keyword or code to create a secret publishing email address ; in a nutshell, an address used as a destination for emails you send to your blog. Keep this address secret, or give it only to people you wish they write on your blog.
Second security level: enter email address of people you want them to write on you blog.
There you have an excellent tool to easily build a collaborative blog !
For extra caution, you may want all incoming mail to be marked as draft as they arrive on your blog. Then they are not directly published.With Boardinglobe, publish as you wish !
2- Re-design your blog with one mouse click!
Change your blog template and columns elements in a few seconds.
A kid's play:
Log on the administrative site with your ID and password, then browse to heading « Design ». To have a better look on the templates, click on the Preview link of each one. Then, for the design you like, click on the Settings link to edit general look, background or text tonality, or even text font. There, any change on the template will immediatly apply on the thumbnail. Once you are satisfied with the result, click on the Choose these settings THEN Use this template on the main window.
To edit columns content and placement, go to the « Design » heading and « Columns content » section. With a simple set of buttons, move around each element in your weblog's columns.
If the element you wish to display does not show up in columns' content, it is probably further down in the page, in the elements list. Either choose Add to left column or Add to right column before placing it where you want in the column.
Caution: it is very important to click on the Update information button (at the bottom of the page) to save your modifications.
3- Protect your albums and private data!
Strictly select who you want to access your site.
During registration or any time afterwards, you may want to protect your site access with username and password. This access grant may be the same for every people you want to invite on your site. But you could give for every person - friend or family member for example - a unique grant. Then you control individually access rights and add or remove access at any time.
There you are! You may upload within a private area your pictures in albums with a theme. Beyond photo albums, you may share any kind of documents with a known group of people.
Log on the administrative site with your ID and password, then browse to heading «Control Panel». Section «Site access» let you define any number of access with an «access name» - ie. someone's surname - and the login / passwrod pair. You may add, edit or delete as many access as you want.

You work with others on professional documents. Here is at last a private - or public - space that enables you to manage your important documents on line.
Connect yourself on your administration website with your identifier and your password, then go to the « Control Panel » heading. The « File Manager » section gives you access to the list of your folders that contain your files. You can at this level manage your files order and their names.
5- Create your photo albums, it's so easy!
You can publish in private mode - or no - the photos of your professional ones in thematic albums. A very convenient feature enables you to upload your photos 5 by 5 and to save a precious time.
Connect yourself on your administration website with your identifier and your password, then go to the « Albums » heading. The Your albums » section enables you to create very easily an album by choosing a title, a photo or an image cover, then by uploading your photos one by one or up to 5 by 5 on the website with or without a comment displayed with each photo.
The « Albums settings » section is particularely well made to manage the display of albums on your website: possible announce via thumbnails in the columns then display of the album with a constellation of thumbnails, via an automatic slideshow or a mix with the display of the comments. Everything is possible and so simple!
6- Manage you link lists.
Develop your external links
On your blog, preset features enable you to share some link lists.
Connect yourself on your administration website with your identifier and your password, then go to the « Lists » heading. Choose the type of the list you wish to add to your weblog and add each element individually.
7- Be notified when the comments are posted on your website.
Receive by email the comments that have just been posted by visitors on your website.
If one of your visitor leaves you a comment, you are notified immediately by email and can click on the link of your email to answer. This feature is also very convenient in the context of a private blog because it enables to work as a team on subject or a document and to be notified when someone intervenes.
